About the Race City Rebels
The Race City Rebels is the first men's roller derby league in Indianapolis. Proud members of the Men's Roller Derby Association, the Rebels strive to promote roller derby of all kinds while developing a competitive roller derby team to compete with other men's leagues across the country.
The Race City Rebels boast a lineup of 25 men from diverse backgrounds, many of whom have been playing roller derby for years, both on co-ed and all male teams. Ranging from their 20s to 40s, they've tied on their skates to prove their skills in a classically female-dominated sport.
Spun off from a local co-ed group, the men head into their second season (the first as an all-male team) primed for action and looking forward to a great season. Team members have spent an average of 10 hours a week together preparing for their season, with an opening bout in downtown Indianapolis.
The season is looking great, and the men are primed to make this one hell of a year.
