I'm trying to get our Brown Paper Tickets event up TODAY! I have all of our information now so that I can also order paper tickets TODAY. Most of this information listed below was taken from the CCDG events which I assume is the same for us. If not or the information is missing, please make the necessary changes.

Event Name:
Riot! at Race City

Short Description:
6/4/11 Race City Rebels VS. Rock City Riot and The Circle City Party Crashers VS. Lake City Derby Dolls

Full Description
Race City Rebels VS. Rock City Riot
June 4, 2011 5PM Doors
6:00PM The Circle City Party Crashers VS. Lake City Derby Dolls,
7:45PM Race City Rebels VS. Rock City Riot
The Forum at Fishers
Fishers IN

Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door, children 6 and under are FREE at the door.

All tickets and seating are general admission. Seats available on first come, first serve basis. Tickets are non-refundable.

The ticket holder assumes all risk incidental to the game of roller derby whether occurring prior to, during or after the bout. Including (but not exclusively) the danger of being injured by or in connection with any participant of the bout. Ticket holder agrees that The Race City Rebels are not liable for any resulting injuries.

Suicide seating for 18+ only and is strictly enforced.

Your favorite Race City Rebels merchandise, concessions, and beer to those 21+ or older (with valid ID) will be available for cash purchase during this event. No outside food or drinks allowed.

Online sales for this event have ended.  Tickets are still available at the door for $15.

Thank you for supporting the Race City Rebels. We look forward to seeing you at the bout!!

This seems like a lot of changes, but they're not that bad.

Event Name
A discussion was started in the "Bout Production" section about what the event should be named, but there was no recommendation or consensus.

I am new and haven't been through this process before, but I feel like picking a name/theme of the bout falls in a grey area between the Events Committee, PR Committee, Graphics Committee, and the Board.

Short Description
Based on this, I am unsure which bout will be first and which will be second.  If it is like a concert, then RCR is the headliner and CCPC is opening.  If it is chronological, then RCR is opening and CCPC is headlining.

Full Description
Ditto my comments in "Short Description" about opener/headliner confusion.

I don't like the sentence "This is not a BYOB event."  What do concerts and other sporting events say?  Something like "No outside food or drink."  If outside food and nonalcoholic drinks are allowed, how about "No outside alcoholic beverages."  Also, flip the sentence order so the sentence starts off on a positive note instead of being negative.

I would also recommend moving the sentence about merchandising to a line by itself and above the food & drink info.  This will highlight it and won't start the line off on a negative note.

If we are supporting a Good Cause with ticket sales (see "Bout Production" in "Halftime Show Ideas" section), I would add a sentence like "$1 from the sales of every ticket goes towards supporting SOMEONE do SOMETHING."

I would move ticket prices to higher in this section.

Message to be displayed when sales have ended
"Online sales for this event have ended.  Tickets are still available at the door for $15."

Message to be displayed to ticket buyers after purchase
Add the name of the Good Cause (see Full Description) after RCR.

I thought RCR was the headliner and CCPC was opening. It's our bout, so we finish out the night... I thought.

You ar correct. But if you put the girls first on the ticket order their name will be in large print with ours in small print, like Naptown did when we opened for them.

Updated. I know we have talked about a charity/halftime show already so once it is confirmed, I'll add it to the BPT events page after RCR.

We could always do it this way:

*BOUT NAME HERE*
Race City Rebels VS. Rock City Riot
June 4, 2011 5PM Doors
6:00PM The Circle City Party Crashers VS. Lake City Derby Dolls,
7:45PM Race City Rebels VS. Rock City Riot
The Forum at Fishers
Fishers IN

This is similar to the Naptown - War of the Wheels Double Header tickets.

We could. It is listed separately on the website already. I can have it printed on the tickets if we feel it is necessary. Anything else?

Yeah, I have it ready on the website. I'll make sure it's on the tickets too.

Is "Riot! In Race City" the chosen BOUT NAME? It seems most people like it. I'm going to use it for BPT and our tickets unless someone has a better idea tonight at practice. I have to order this shit!

Cool. I'm glad a decision was made.

Although I have a feeling I might have been the one to make the decision. Wink

Also, can I get a copy of our wheel logo to post with this event? I need a picture in order for it to be listed in the "Main Page listings".

The event has been posted and is now waiting for approval. smile

Awesome. I almost messaged the RCR facebook last night asking about this. Glad to see an event up. Can you change the name to "Riot! at Race City" instead of "Riot! in the Race City"? I was told this was the chosen bout name. Thanks!
