Rebels Recruitment

The Race City Rebels are currently in "Open Recruitment". We welcome all adult men interested in playing roller derby. Try outs are not required to join the team, although there are a set skills required to officially join the team. Contact freshmeat@racecityrebels.com for more information.

Remember, roller derby is a contact sport. Although it is played safely, injuries do happen. Be aware that, in playing roller derby, you do run the risk potential injury.

Derby Equipment

Required

  • "Quads" skates
  • Helmet
  • Elbow pads
  • Knee pads
  • Wrist guards
  • Mouth piece

Recommended

  • Tailbone protector or padded shorts
  • Different sets of wheels for different surfaces
